The rule of thirds

On May 15th, 2023, we had a productive discussion on video recording techniques and received valuable tips. Shreya took diligent notes as we explored various aspects of capturing compelling videos. During our session, we learned ten tricks that can enhance the visual appeal of our recordings: 1. The push forward. 2. The crane shot. 3. The fly through. 4. Slide/dolly. 5. The fake drone shot. 6. The push forward (reiterated). 7. The fly by. 8. The slider/pan. 9. The pull back. 10. The crane revealed. Additionally, we received some useful tips that can greatly improve our video recording skills: 1. Locking your elbows to ensure stable footage and avoid shaky shots. 2. Utilizing exposure lock to focus on specific elements within the frame. 3. Emphasizing content over personal appearance while operating the camera. 4. 3rd Day of Video Documenting , May 28th 2023

On May 28th, 2023, we the Garbage Goblins, had decided to meet up during the weekend to continue our video documentary. We had purchased new equipment to further enhance the quality of our documentary. The original plan was to meet up at Bakelicious for some food and discuss our next steps. However, we were late and ended up meeting at 2pm instead of 1pm. After our discussion (and food), we explored the town a bit to record footage and then headed to the football ground. There, we became distracted and spent an hour playing tag, snacking, filming, and having a conversation about our lives as friends. The next plan was to record in Sukriti. We sang along to music and walked there. The scenery was good enough to be filmed, so we took out our selfie sticks and climbed up. Unfortunately, Rigsel got too engrossed in recording and was planning to do a risky shot over the cliff, which made the anxious group worry about him falling or losing his phone (unfortunately, no good drone shots).
